wish to stream :

What type of video
encoding will you use :
VP3
is a open source video
codec sponsored by
ON2. It can be used for commercial or personal use
without need for licensing.
Theora is a open source video
codec sponsored by
Xiph. It can be used for commercial or personal use
without need for licensing.
Dirac is a open source video
codec sponsored by the
British Broadcasting Corporation. It can be used for commercial or personal use
without need for licensing.
VP6 codec information
VP6
is a proprietary closed source video codec and requires licensing for commercial use.
- Nullsoft Shoutcast server supports the NSV format (VP3 and VP6 video codecs).
- Icecast Icecast server supports the NSV format (VP3 and VP6 video codecs) and Theora video codecs.
- Radio Tool Box Steamcast server supports the NSV format (VP3 and VP6 video codecs) Theora video codecs.
What type of audio encoding will you use :
-Low bit rate (Less than 36 kbs) audio encoding using
MP3 codec.
-Audio encoding with
AAC and AAC-Plus codec.
Broadcasting your Winamp TV / NSV stream :
You must source ( send ) the live OR recorded video to a Shoutcast compatible server to be streamed.
